Guggenheim in Rio

Jean Nouvel has designed an incredible building for the new Guggenheim Museum in Rio

The French architect Jean Nouvel showed in New York his magnificent design for the new Guggenheim Museum in Rio. Escaping from the typically “Nice Architecture” he revolves around conceptual architecture, submerging parts of the museum under the water, except the ceilings in order to get natural light. The first thing you see is a great aluminium wall that tells you: “forget about all the rest.” Upon entering the lobby of water ceilings you walk through the galleries, including a big space exclusively for multimedia art (Finally!). When you exit the multimedia art gallery, you enter into a rain forest, including a waterfall, and at the end there is a large tube of steel with a blurb structure on top working as a restaurant… seems is going to be incredible!!
