Probably my favourite topic about crazy empires like the ancient Rome, Hitler’s Germany, the Far East and this red Russia: huge magnificent buildings of self-propaganda. The Palace of the Soviets proposal pictured below is dated 1934 and measured 415 metres high. [Via BoingBoing]
